The 2024 college football season begins Saturday with four week 0 games, highlighted by an ACC battle between Florida State and Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland.

Elsewhere in the ACC, SMU will travel to Nevada to play its first game as a member of the conference.

Each week, ITS will select six player props and keep track of our record throughout the season.

With a limited slate of games this weekend, choices aren’t plentiful, but here are the picks:

Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

Haynes King (GT) Passing Yards: O 187.5 (-114)

King threw for more than 200 yards in 8 of 13 games last season. Though Georgia Tech may try to lean on the rushing attack early, I expect them to be playing from behind, giving King lots of throwing opportunities.

DJ Uiagalelei (FSU) Anytime Touchdown Scorer: O 0.5 (-106)

Expect the Noles to lean on the 6’4″, 252-pound quarterback near the goal line. Georgia Tech’s defense is vulnerable against the run and Uiagalelei scored six times on the ground last season.

Ja’Khi Douglas (FSU) Receiving Yards: U 35.5 (-114)

The fifth-year senior had just 12 receptions in 2023 and will have to share targets with Malik Benson and Jalen Brown. Plus, the Noles will likely have a run-heavy attack and be playing with the lead in the second half.

Jamal Haynes (GT) Total Receptions: O 1.5 (-168)

As previously mentioned, I anticipate that the Yellow Jackets will be playing from behind. If they throw the ball more in the second half, Haynes could catch a few passes out of the backfield. He had two or more receptions in six games last season.

Jalylan Knighton (SMU) Anytime Touchdown Scorer: O 0.5 (-225)

Nevada’s defense struggled mightily the last two seasons, especially against the run. Knighton scored seven rushing touchdowns for the Mustangs a year ago, including one in three of his last four games. SMU should have plenty of red zone trips, so I expect Knighton to capitalize at least once.

Brendon Lewis (NEV) Passing Yards: U 140.5 (-114)

Lewis only cleared 140 yards four times last season. In fairness to him, he only started ten games, but I can see him struggling against a quality opponent in Week 1.
