With another action-packed weekend of college football around the counter, it’s time for more player props.
Last week’s picks went 3 for 6, so we’ll aim to be above .500 this time around.
Here are some enticing props for Week 4:
Odds via Drafkings Sportsbook
Omarion Hampton (UNC) Rushing Yards: 100+ (-205)
North Carolina will host James Madison this weekend as they look to improve to 4-0 on the year. Hampton has been a workhorse for the Tar Heels for the past two seasons, and he has crossed the 100-yard mark in two of his first three games in 2024. Hampton is averaging 22 carries and 139 yards per game, and he should find plenty of running room against the Dukes.
Kyren Lacy (LSU) Anytime Touchdown: Yes (-170)
Lacy has five receiving touchdowns in his first three games, which is tied for second in the FBS. He and fellow wideout Aaron Anderson have proven to be Garrett Nussmeier’s favorite targets, but Lacy is the go-to guy in the red zone. He’ll have plenty of scoring opportunities against a putrid UCLA defense that gave up 42 points in a home loss to Indiana.
Cameron Rising (UTAH) Passing Touchdowns: 2+ (-145)
After a week off, Cameron Rising’s hand injury should be healed in time for the Utes’ biggest test so far this season against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are a lethal offensive team, but they tend to let opponents hang around. Arkansas’ Taylen Green threw for 416 yards and a score against them in Week 2, and South Dakota State’s Mark Gronowski tossed two touchdowns back in Week 1. Rising has seven touchdown passes in two games, and he shouldn’t have a problem getting at least two more this week.
Josh Hoover (TCU) Passing Yards: 300+ (-145)
Hoover has compiled 1,022 passing yards in three games, fourth in the FBS. Amazingly, he has also thrown eight touchdowns without a turnover. SMU’s pass defense has been respectable so far this season, but they haven’t played anyone with Hoover’s arm talent. A 300-yard night is just a typical day at the office for TCU’s quarterback.
Nico Iamaleava (TEN) Passing Touchdowns: 2+ (-170)
Iamaleava will lead the Vols into Norman to face the Sooners in the biggest game of the week. He has thrown for six touchdowns in three games, but he hasn’t needed to rely on his arm much because the Vols have won each game by at least 40 points. He’ll likely find himself playing all 60 minutes against Oklahoma, and Tennessee’s elite rushing attack should open up the passing game for Iamaleava. OU’s defense is their strength, but I’m sensing a big night from the freshman.
Cameron Skattebo (ASU) Anytime Touchdown: Yes (-165)
Skattebo was one of the few bright spots for the 3-9 Sun Devils last season. He rushed for 1,372 yards and seven touchdowns. This season, Arizona State has already equaled its 2023 win total, and Skattebo is off to a blazing start with 373 yards and three scores. He’ll face a Texas Tech defense that has given up 109 points in three games, including nine touchdowns on the ground. Skattebo is also an effective receiver out of the backfield. This prop is basically free money.
