The UFC heads back to Salt Lake City for a card that is stacked from top to bottom. Alex Pereira will defend his light heavyweight title against Khalil Rountree Jr. in the main event, and Raquel Pennington will put her bantamweight belt on the line against Julianna Pena in the co-main event.
The card also features several notable stars such as Jose Aldo, Kevin Holland, Stephen Thompson and Kayla Harrison.
After examining these compelling matchups, here are some odds that caught our attention:
Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook
Ketlen Vieira vs. Kayla Harrison: Total Rounds: U 2.5 (+124)
Only two of Vieira’s 11 UFC appearances have been stoppages, but Harrison is a proven finisher who is looking to secure a bantamweight title shot with an emphatic win. She stopped former champion Holly Holm in the second round at UFC 300.
Raquel Pennington vs. Julianna Peña: Total Rounds: O 4.5 (-250)
Pennington and Peña have fought a combined 28 UFC fights, and they have just seven total finishes between them. Peña was beaten soundly by Amanda Nunes in her last fight, but she managed to survive all five rounds. Pennington is as durable as they come, and her only loss inside the distance was to Nunes. This one’s a lock to go all five rounds.
Ryan Spann vs. Ovince St. Preux: Spann to win by KO/TKO/DQ: -115
Both of these fighters are past their prime, especially St. Preux. The former title challenger is now 41 years old, and though his skills are still sharp, his speed and endurance aren’t what they used to be. Spann possesses one-punch knockout power, and it was on display against Dominick Reyes. I expect “Superman” to secure another finish in this matchup.
